Overview
I worked closely with another interaction designer (Andy Lee) and our Associate Design Director (Grayden Poper) to create the user experience for the app from the ground-up. We dedicated as much time as we could to initial research and concepting before moving into the executional phases of the project to explore ideas and get team alignment quickly.

- Audited dozens of news apps and all eleven news sources we would be aggregating to define the app structure and prioritize features for the MVP release
- Concepted a few high level architectures before narrowing to a rather simple app structured around three primary sections (News Feed, Explore, and Profile)
- Fleshed out flows for commenting and sharing within the Article Detail Page because encouraging meaningful discourse between coworkers was one of our client’s primary goals
- Delivered wireframes for the entire app and supported the visual designers and developers through their work tracks
- Enjoyed approximately 45 afternoon coffee walks to Blue Bottle with my co-interaction designer to regroup on project status and talk about the latest tech trends
